Testing helps to reduce the worry and also the risks to you and your property by running a series of tests across the circuits, so that those parts of your electrical installation which are unseen and hidden from view, by plaster and floorboards can be assessed to ensure that they are in an acceptable condition.  Also tested are those devices fitted to provide you with safety in the event of a fault.  Like a smoke alarm, installing it is not enough if it doesn't work when it needs to.  All results a recorded and a copy can be sent to you.

I use top rated testing equipment which is calibrated and certified to ensure that it tells us what we need to know.

Testing

We all want things to work.  And it is frustrating when they don't.  What is more worrying is when things appear to be working, when in fact they are not working safely.

A regular inspection is designed to check the condition of the electrical installation in your property.   From the condition of the incoming supply and earthing arrangements, through to your consumer unit and beyond to the appliances connected, the inspection and testing helps to identify existing or potential faults.  Those parts of the installation you touch are examined (switches, sockets and fittings), and those parts you hope to never have to touch are checked to ensure the fuses and circuit breakers are the correct sizes to protect the cables you cannot see.

Inspection

It is important if you have any new appliances fitted such as a new shower or cooker that the circuit used is still able to operate safely.  If you have installed a more powerful appliance (such as a shower) it is important to ensure that the cable is of the correct size to avoid risk of overheating and fire.

If you have specific concerns, we will be happy to give extra attention to check those issues.
